1. About this policy
Effective date: 13 October 2026. This Privacy Policy applies to Setu Learning, the Android educational application developed by LitGram (package name: com.litgram.setulearning). It describes the offline app and its local study records. It does not describe LitGram AI or other LitGram products.
2. Educational services
Setu Learning provides bundled books, chapter-based study notes, revision material, illustrations and multiple-choice practice with answers and explanations. Its libraries cover mathematics, English language and literature, general science and biology, MSc Physics, Rajasthan and Indian general studies for RPSC/RAS, Great Works, and UGC NET English, Hindi, History, Political Science and Commerce. Available content depends on the installed version. Students browse subjects, books and chapters, search learning material, resume reading, attempt quizzes and view saved progress and scores.
3. Offline use
After installation, reading the bundled materials, searching, taking quizzes and saving study progress work locally without an internet connection. The app does not require an account, sign-in, an online educational service or a content download to use these features. App-store downloads and updates, viewing this website and contacting support require separate services and may require internet access.
4. Personal information and local study data
The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, school details or account credentials. It stores information about your use of its learning features on your device: chapters marked as read and related dates; quiz scores, question totals and completion dates; the last subject, book and chapter opened; saved reading positions; unfinished quiz answers and practice state; recent in-app search queries; and reading preferences such as theme and text size. These records support your own study experience and are not sent to LitGram. Please avoid entering personal or sensitive information into the search box.
5. Local storage and bookmarks
Study records are stored in the app’s private local storage using a SQLite database and local preferences. Saved reading positions allow you to return to your place. The reviewed version does not provide a separate named-bookmark feature or store a separate bookmark collection. LitGram has no remote dashboard or server copy of your study records.
6. Transmission and sharing
Setu Learning does not transmit study records, search queries, quiz answers or preferences to LitGram or an app-operated external server. It does not sell these records or share them for advertising. It contains no advertising, analytics or remote crash-reporting integration, and does not collect advertising identifiers or location for these purposes. Device-managed backups are an exception to an absolute “data never leaves the device” statement and are explained below.
7. Android permissions
The reviewed Android release does not declare Internet or network-state permissions and does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, phone, notification or shared-storage access. Its compiled manifest includes an app-specific signature permission, com.litgram.setulearning.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION, used by Android support libraries to restrict internal receiver access. This is not a request to access student information and does not require a runtime permission prompt. App-private storage is used for study records.
8. Third-party software and services
The app uses Flutter and Android support libraries, SQLite through sqflite, path-provider/JNI utilities, shared preferences and local Markdown and mathematics rendering libraries. These support display and local storage; they are not integrated as tracking or advertising services. The reviewed app has no embedded WebView, social login, payment service or remote learning backend. Android, your device manufacturer and your app store may separately process information under their own policies. Visiting litgram.in is website use and may involve website cookies, hosting logs or other website services; it does not give the website access to your local Setu Learning study database.
9. Children and student privacy
Students, including children, can use the offline learning features without supplying identity or contact details. The app does not include advertising, behavioural profiling, public student profiles, messaging or an online submission of student records. Parents and guardians should help children manage shared-device access and device backup settings. If a child contacts support, please avoid unnecessary personal details and have a parent or guardian assist.
10. Retention and deletion
Local study records remain available until you reset or remove them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. The in-app “Reset all progress” control clears saved reading progress, quiz scores and study-session records, including unfinished attempts and recent searches; reading preferences may remain. To remove all local app data, use Android Settings > Apps > Setu Learning > Storage > Clear storage (wording varies by device), or uninstall the app. These actions remove local copies and do not necessarily remove existing device backups. LitGram cannot retrieve or remotely delete your local study records.
11. Device backups and restoration
The reviewed release does not disable Android’s default app backup or define exclusions for study data. Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, account and backup settings, the operating system may back up local app data to a backup provider such as Google, or transfer it to another device. Study records and preferences may then be restored after reinstallation or device migration. This is managed by the operating system or backup provider, not by a LitGram cloud-sync service. Review your device’s backup and transfer controls to manage these copies; clearing app storage or uninstalling alone may not delete an existing backup.
12. Security
The app relies on Android’s app-private storage and device access controls to protect local records. The study database is not separately encrypted by the app. Security also depends on your screen lock, device software, backup settings and who can access your phone. No storage or security measure can guarantee absolute protection. Keep your device updated and protect access to it.
13. Contacting LitGram
For questions about Setu Learning or this policy, contact LitGram at mukesh@litgram.in or visit https://litgram.in/contact-us/. If you email support, your email address and the details you choose to send are processed through email services to respond to your request. Support messages are separate from the offline app’s local records. Send only information needed for your request; do not send passwords or unnecessary student information.
14. Changes to this policy
LitGram may update this policy when app functionality, data handling or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will appear on this page with a revised effective date. Any future online or data-collection feature must be described before this policy is relied upon for that version.
